I received an email that referred to me as an applicant for a SQL developer. I was to reply with a simple "Yes. " to continue with the application process. Upon replying I was sent a PDF questionnaire to fill out. (See attached). I completed the questionnaire and returned it. The next day I was sent a congratulations letter and asked to send my full name, address, phone number and email so that the employer could send an official offer of employment. At this point, some lingering doubts began to occur. First among those doubts was that I couldn't remember applying to this company and secondly if I had applied all of the requested information would have appeared on my resume. I began to investigate online. I quickly found a website that not only matched the company's name but also matched the logo used on the questionnaire, however the address of the company was in Texas but the questionnaire was in Massachusetts. The job I was being "hired" for did not appear as an available position advertised on the company's website. I then noticed that the email domain did not match the website's domain. The website used roboticstechno.com and the email used roboticstechnocareers.com. Further investigation revealed that the different domains were owned by different companies, and the default web page for www.roboticstechnocareers.com was a simple "Coming Soon" page created by SquareSpace. At this point, I have not responded to the email that made the "offer". On Saturday I received a follow up email reminding me of the offer and requesting my name, address, phone# and email again.
