I am writing to report a fraudulent online transaction involving a company called BetterThreadsOutfits, located at 2801 Ocean Park Blvd, Torrance, CA 90405. On August 16, 2025, I made an online purchase through a Facebook advertisement that appeared to be from Trader Joe’s, offering a “Trader Joe’s Bundle Package” for $11.49. I placed my order and was charged that amount on my bank card. However, on August 19, 2025, the same company charged my account an additional $72.40 without my knowledge or authorization. I did not consent to any subscription or further purchase. After discovering the unauthorized charge, I immediately contacted my Credit Union, which has since issued me a new bank card and is currently investigating the issue. I also sent an email to the company at [email protected], but have not received a response. I believe this company is engaging in fraudulent and deceptive practices by impersonating Trader Joe’s and charging consumers unauthorized amounts. I request that the BBB investigate this business and take appropriate action to prevent others from being scammed.
