Type of scam: Legal threat / phishing call Phone number: 877-320-3528 Date of call: 10/2/2025 Method: Voicemail Details of the message: I received a voicemail from a woman identifying herself as “Nikki” with “County Courier Services,” claiming they were subcontracted by the county. She said there had been a “failed attempt at delivering certified legal mail to the residence” and that this was my “final notice” before the firm proceeds “without consent.” She provided a callback number (877-320-3528) and referenced a file number. Why I believe this is a scam: • The caller used vague language and did not identify any real agency or law firm. • Government offices do not use robocalls for legal mail or final notices. • Certified legal mail is always delivered through USPS with a physical delivery notice, not by voicemail. • This phone number is listed on multiple scam-tracking sites (BBB, 800notes, Reddit) as a phishing/legal-threat scam.
