Description

I was approached about a job offer at "Carelon Behavioral Health is a company that thrives on its core values. We are committed to long-term success by placing customer needs at the center of our mission. Our success is built upon a strong brand identity. For more information about our company, please feel free to explore our website: [https://www.carelon.com/about-us). You are being considered for the Project Manager position. This is an entirely remote, work-from-home role with flexible hours. You can work from home or any location of your choice. The pay is $75.57 per hour, with training paid at $60.00 per hour. Payment is made weekly via direct deposit or check, with a maximum of 40 hours per week. If hired, you will be a part-time or full-time employee, not an independent contractor. Does working remotely sound good to you? Next steps include reviewing your offer documents and completing the required forms under US Human Resources Laws. These will be sent to you soon. You will earn $75.57 per hour. Your first two weeks will be paid by check, after which you’ll be paid via direct deposit. You’ll be receiving your Employment Offer Letter, W-4 paperwork, and company guidelines shortly. Once received, please review, sign, and return them. I will also send you details on the software and tools you’ll need for the job. You will receive a check to purchase the necessary equipment, including a new laptop, printer, scanner, iPhone, and time-tracking software. Once you receive the check, deposit it into your bank account. You’ll keep 10% of the funds as your sign-on bonus, and the rest will go toward the purchase of your equipment." Then I got 3 checks, 2 in the amount of $3400.00 and one in the amount of $2900.00 all of which bounced after he asked me to PayPal the money to the vendor who would supply my equipment. I'm so angry at myself but hope this will help other people. Training will last for one week (paid), with 4 hours per day of online training. Your supervisor will guide you through the process and ensure you’re ready to get started okay?
