This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
A supposed relative (same last name as ours) died from COVID four years ago and this "law firm" cannot find relatives to claim the proceeds from her 10 million dollar estate plus a "permanent life insurance policy." We have the opportunity to be recognized as a beneficiary of the policy (undisclosed amount). The proposed details as outlined in the letter are: "Charitable Donation: 10% of the retrieved funds will be allocated to various charity organizations." "Distribution: The remailing 90% of the funds will be equitably shared between us 50% each." There is at least one grammar mistake in the letter and the website contains many mistakes. Visiting the website is a sure giveaway that this is a scam.
