A person claiming to be from Aerotek asked if they could give my number to a company seeking remote employees, I said yes, and the next day a woman texted me to tell me about Megaphone digital marketing looking for product administrators. I decided to give the job a try. The job itself only took about 20 mins to complete, clicking products to promote. Then a small commission would be given me at the end to withdrawal to my cash app bitcoin wallet. It seemed ok at first, until one day they asked me to put in $40 for a “joint order” to complete. I followed my trainers recommendation to add the funds and I got my money back into my cash app about 30mins later. The second time this happened, the website Megaphonespace.Com or megaspacegp.com added “commission” and “pay check”amounts to my workstation order deposits that then kept snowballing the product amounts until I couldn’t keep up and they wouldn’t let me get my money back until all the orders were promoted. The problem is, they told me that the merchant would take action against me if I didn’t finish the orders, so I scrounged up just a bit more money to finish, when instead they just added another part to the “joint order” that amounted to the outrageous sum of them wanting me to pay $14,000 to avoid action against me! Of course I could not do that, so now I’m just living in fear that someone is going to come after us. Whether suing, trafficking, or threatening. I know I made a huge mistake, so please be careful and don’t get involved with these scammers! They claim to have a certificate of business from the state of California, but that could be a manufactured document.
