This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I was reached out to initially with a text stating “Hey, I’m Annie Corbin. I got your number from recruitment department that you are interested in a part-time job. Is that correct? Her phone number is 332-288-9980. I was suspicious but was not asked for any personal info so I went with it. We went through the whole training process, I created an account, deposited $20 through PayPal crypto, made $186 that day completing their “tasks”. After all this I was asked to start communicating through WhatsApp instead of text. I withdrew the $186 into my PayPal account successfully at the end of the day. A tactic to likely build trust. The next day, the website was completely different which made me even more suspicious. So I called the person out and you can read the response from them in the images below.
