Getting almost daily calls from various people claiming to be with the Tax Resolution Center, they leave voicemail messages saying to call them about tax relief. Numbers usually start with 855 but the last one was 804 area code and I was left a message saying my “account was flagged” as having unresolved tax liability issues. I called back and told them that I do NOT have tax issues and to take me off their list. Told a woman yesterday from an 855 number to remove my number then get a call and voicemail from an 804 number today. Especially worrying because this is from Virginia which being close to Washington DC seems to be trying to really get me thinking it is legitimate as if I have an issue I don’t know about. Unfortunately already deleted the voicemail.
