I ordered and paid for an auto part online at Turbo Boost Supplies[turboboostsupplies.com]. They pretended to ship it with at company named Universal Parcel Deliveries[updservices.com], by sending me an email from [email protected] w/ fake tracking information--all looked quite real & believable, until I tried to call the phone number listed on their website. Neither phone number I found on the website connected me with Universal Parcel Delivery. One was a Dr's office in upstate NY and the other was an invalid number in central FL. The next email they sent explained the package was held up by authorities in Madison, WI since it didn't have insurance on it. I needed to respond to the email to discuss insurance options so the package could get moving toward its destination. They have now informed me of the $800 to $1,200 options I have available to purchase "100% refundable insurance which will be refunded to me once the part arrives without damage to me." Surely, by now whoever is reading this can recognize the scam/shakedown being attempted. Please don't fall for any of this garbage!! Here is the email they sent me... "Insurance Options TurboBoost Universal Parcel Deliveries 4:51?PM (1 hour ago) to me Dear Client, You can choose from the list below the insurance option that best suits your package. The money paid in as insurance coverage on your package is 100% refundable upon delivery. That is, when your package is delivered, you will be refunded in full the total amount paid for the insurance coverage of your package when you confirm your package is in perfect condition. We have 3 insurance options from which you are free to choose. Firstly, we have the Basic all-risk insurance coverage. The basic all-risk insurance coverage would cost $860 for your package. With the Basic Insurance Coverage, if your package incurs any damages during transit, you will be compensated for the damages incurred. Secondly, we have the Equivalent all-risk insurance coverage. The equivalent all-risk insurance coverage would cost $990 for your package.
