I was on Facebook reaching out for help with Marketing . I was contacted through messenger from a huge book club by someone name Jessica Martin. She told me she worked for KDP Amazon Publishing team and how they could help me with my book. I am a first time author I did not take he offer right away . I scheduled an appointment to speak with someone. They called me a few times in December and January. I finally went with them in late February to help me with publishing the book and marketing. The invoice had KDP Amazon address on my invoice. I was told serval time per conversations with Adrian Chase my marketing person and Frank Bell the manager over publishing they worked for Amazon. I got nothing from them in my first two months. I should've known then it was funny business. However they called and responded so I moved passed it. I took a break because after my illustration was completed I thought they helped with the copyright and they told me it would cost another $2,000. Of course they wanted more money. I found out that it only cost $65.00 to do it online and legit so I did that. It took months so I just had to wait to receive it. I let them know and even though they tried to push me to pay more or just publish it without it I didn't budge. After months I got it and I contacted Frank again in early September. He tried to offer me an again additional market package worth $7,200 more. I started then wonder and give push back because I had paid already $1,650 in February and nothing for marketing had been done. My book wasn't even out. I then went back to that same book group to ask some questions to get experience help and then was told about how the company was a scammer . I started to do my research and found out I had been scammed. They used the real KDP Amazon address from google on my invoice to trick me. I let them know as well as my bank the day I found out what happened. Frank then called me and tried to threaten me over the phone stating that they never mentioned Amazon and that if I didn't continue with them it would be legal issues and bad for me. I am hoping that I will be able to get through this and get my money back to continue my book. However I want to inform others as this information was not out here for me please be careful. Had I sent more money this could really be bad.
