This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I received an official- looking form titled California UCC Statement Request Form 2025. They demand $98 for a "statement service fee". The address they use is 3053 Freeport Blvd., Box 266, Sacramento, CA 95818. I recently had a new roof installed and financed it. They had the name of the lender and their address. How did they know this? I tried to call them and also sent email. Both the phone and email are non-functioning. I tried to look up the CA UCC Statement Service and discovered it is a scam. Not surprising. There are so many scams now.
