I was contacted online with a job offer from someone claiming to represent Promenade Group Inc. They conducted a fake interview and offered me a work-from-home position. I was instructed to purchase expensive equipment and software necessary for the job, with the promise that the company would reimburse me via a check. They requested my personal contact info but did not ask for banking or Social Security numbers. This was a classic work-from-home scam using a fake employer and fake reimbursement to trick victims.
