I received a text (1-305-509-8015) about a job from "Joshua Fobell", claiming to be from "Morta Globe Tech, Inc.". He stated he found my resume on CareerBuilder, which could be accurate as I have an active account with them, and that I would be a great fit for one of their jobs. He asked me to speak to a hiring manager via Microsoft Teams to get set up for an interview and talk more about the job details. He told me that the persons name was "Ms. Katrina Burgess" and to search her on Teams under "[email protected]" with the user name of "Katrin". The texts were very professional and polite and seemed legit, other than having to respond to Teams. I told him that I would not be able to contact Teams right away and he told me that their "window is open Mon - Fri, 9AM CENTRAL Daylight Time to 4PM MOUNTIAN time." This seemed weird to change the time zones... When I got home, I looked the company up. At first, using "mortaglobe.com", I could not find anything but then typed in the full name of the company as he gave it to me, "Morta Globe Tech, Inc.", and found a "website", however, its a very juvenile looking website: mismatching font, no graphics, very basic, no contact info, and so on. It looks like they just created it in June this year, too. They have no other online presence under this name nor registered anywhere I could find. These are all red flags for me. Needless to say, I will not be moving forward or contacting them for a "job" since I believe them to be fraudulent.
