Description
I purchased a set of cups from “Clara San Diego” after seeing their advertisement on Instagram. The ad presented this company as a mother-daughter business in San Diego going out of business and claimed that the cups were made of “minerals/crystals” and shipped domestically from San Diego. When my order arrived—after a significant delay—it became immediately clear that the product was fraudulent: • The cups were 100% plastic, not minerals/crystals as advertised. • They emitted a harsh, chemical odor, raising health and safety concerns. • The shipment originated from Hong Kong/China, not San Diego as claimed. • The company’s website falsely states it has been in business for 27 years; domain records show the site was only created in May 2025. Because of the chemical odor and safety concerns, I had to throw the cups away immediately. This product was not only misleading, but potentially hazardous. Evidence of Fraudulent Practices: • Numerous online customer reports and videos also describe “Clara San Diego” as a scam. • My personal experience aligns with these reports: misleading advertising, fraudulent product descriptions, and deceptive origin claims.
