Scam information

This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.

Description

I was looking for a side gig and saw a job posting on Indeed that was looking for a driver to deliver parts. The post looked legitimate for the most part and when I clicked on the apply button, it took me directly to their site. The site looked legitimate as well but I decided to research this company some more. It had a page on Google maps and there were reviews 6 months ago from when I made this report. There were even Facebook and Glassdoor pages with the Speedy MEP business name. So after the brief search, I decided that I would apply. It prompted me to upload a resume and fill out tax documents. It then had me upload my drivers license, insurance, and car registration on the app. As I am doing this, there were messages being sent to my phone by a person named Ron Pierce stating that I was approved and someone will contact me further. The next day I tried calling the business several times throughout the day with no response. I even left a voicemail. I decided to do some more research and saw someone on BBB complaining about this company as well. So in fear of potentially being scammed and a victim of identity fraud, I decided to write this report. Below are all the sites, email, address and phone numbers that the business used: 970-427-0100 970-514-4456 970-670-8778 https://fountain.com 275 Sacramento St, 3rd floor, San Francisco, CA 94111 https://speedymep.com/ https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=682877ffe486df2c https://www.facebook.com/speedymep/ https://www.ziprecruiter.com/c/Speedy-MEP/Job/Speedy-MEP-Delivery-Driver-Colorado/-in-Denver,CO?jid=116f0a8d2afbc56b https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccom.speedymep.driver.app&pli=1 https://www.manta.com/c/m1xcm55/speedy-mep
