Description
I ordered two pairs of running shoes on August 31 from a legitimate online company. The next day (September 1), I received an order from Kicks Crew for one pair of the exact same running shoes; they had my credit card number, email address, and home address. There was a charge on my Mastercard. They said it sounded like fraud, refunded the charge, and cancelled my credit card. I received additional emails from Kicks Crew, including one with a USPS tracking number; When I entered the number on the USPS web site, the message continues to be "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item". I emailed Kicks Crew to say that this was fraud, Mastercard had reversed the charge, and asked that they stop emailing me. I received several emails such as the one below: In order to complete the verification, kindly provide the following documents: 1. A photo of the credit card used for the purchase showing the first 6 and last 4 digits and the cardholder's name, or proof of PayPal account ownership. 2. A valid identification document (e.g., identity card, passport, or driver’s license). 3. Proof of address showing the given delivery information. Rest assured that the documents will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and that your order will be processed after the verification is completed. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, and we look forward to your reply. Should you have any further questions, please refer to our Terms and Conditions for more details. I clearly didn't send them the information. I have already reached out to the legitimate online company as I was concerned their data was breached. From what I read online, others have had similar experience with Kicks Crew.
