I was looking for a pet cavapoo and ran into this ad/business on Facebook. It sounded legit. They had photos and videos of the puppies and videos of people happily meeting their new pets. I was asked several questions like if I had a house and a backyard. Long story short, they asked me to Zelle $1450 to cover for the puppy's fee and the delivery fee. My bank didn't approve of the Zelle. Thank God. I told the "breeder" and he messaged me a heartwarming story that they're a small breeder family, and he's not a bad person who's out to get my money. I asked hom if I can FaceTime and see the puppy. He said his phone was android, I told him that Zelle isn't working and he said I can just Apple Pay him. And I asked, you said you don't have an iPhone but you have an Apple Pay? And he said the I phone belonged to his daughter. His name btw or the name he gave me is Ron Pruitt. Good thing my bank didn't approve the Zelle transfer. Then I went back to check the FB page, there were several FB pages with the same puppies, the one I was buying was supposed to be a puppy that the previous prospect buyer cancelled because of the buyer's urgent trip they had to take. I fell for it. I was so trusting and even told this breeder that I'm getting the dog for my son's birthday. There's heartless and evil people out there. Please beware. I reported the pages on Facebook. I hope they don't get to scam other people. I'm just so glad my bank didn't approve the transfer. My worry is I released my info, home address, phone, e mail. Because it says they need those info to proceed with the inquiry.
