Description

We found a horse listed for sale on EquineNow.com, a popular website for connecting buyers and sellers of horses. We contacted the seller through the website, and then initiated email contact after that. The Seller had a website, a business address that showed a horse property when looked at through google maps, and had a youtube channel with videos of the horses for sale that went back 7 years. It appeared legitimate. We reviewed the photos and videos of the horse and decided to purchase him. We signed a contract (that contained a 30 day money back guarantee) then wired money to the Sellers. They promised to deliver the horse and we had regular email communication with them for about 2 weeks and then they disappeared. They never delivered the horse. A reverse google image search helped us determine that the horse they were selling us was not owned by them, had never been owned by them, and they had merely stolen the ad from another ranch. A police report and FBI report were filed.
