On July 31, 2025 I was officially hired by a company called RealSeq Biosciences. I was advised of the position and what was required of the position. The person who interviewed me was/is named Robert Morgan. He emailed me all documents required for employment, i.e., W2s, letter of employment, employment enrollment form and direct deposit form. Fortunately for me I did not provide my social security number on the W2 form. All the documents were on company stationery. I would send them to you but your site will only allow me to send one document. If there is a way to send multiple documents, please contact me and I will send them. During subsequent interviews, Robert Morgan advised me, I needed to purchase the latest apple computer, either macbook air or macbook pro with an M4 chip. I advised him I do not have that kind of money and decided the position was not a fit for me. He then stated I could use my old apple computer but needed to download their software to track when I was working so that they would be able to pay me. He requested I purchase apple gift cards in increments of $20, $200 and $500 for the various software downloads from the apple application. Initially he advised me to purchase a gift card in the amount of $720, purchase it using the email I would be using as company email to be reimbursed after the purchase. After I purchased the gift card, I emailed the information to the email he provided and he stated the card had been redeemed. I contacted apple support and they stated they would investigate as to what happened to the gift card. During this time, I was asked to send the amounts above through paypal and I would be reimbursed. After sending the amounts I never heard from Robert Morgan again. The scammers involved are Robert Morgan, Wilson Phan, Michael Howard, and Larelle Perry. The CEO and cofounder of the company is named Sergio Barberan-Soler. The address is 2125 Delaware Ave, Suite B Santa Cruz, CA. There is no phone number for this business. I have searched for one and when I call the number the number is no longer in service. I was scammed out of $1440. I really do not care about the money as it is only money. I just want the company, if they are not complicit, to be aware these people are using RealSeq Biosciences to scam people out of money.
