I received a text from Shepherd Outsourcing describing their attempt to collect a debt regarding The Bank of Missouri (Aspire Credit Card). The text described Jefferson Capital Systems LLC as being the current creditor. They instructed that https://portal.shepherdoutsourcing.com/s/Jn 62j. be visited. "Reply stop to opt out or call 888-991-5696," was the next option they listed. "# of messages varies." was next, followed by "Message & data rates may apply." the message then went on, " This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. . SO Re# 1003002378 Reply STOP to opt out." five days later ( Sept 8 2025) another text arrived saying, " We have limited time to work with you before we return your THE BANK OF MISSOURI (ASPIRE CARD - for which the current creditor is JEFFERSON CAPITAL SYSTEMS LLC) account to our client. See your options at https://portal.shepherdoutsourcing.com/s/J1c5k or call 888-991-5696. This text is from Shepherd Outsourcing, a debt collector. Reply stop to opt out" At that point, rather than ignoring it, I googled the Bank of Missouri, and there were enough scam indicators that showed up that I then explored the BBB site regarding it, and reported my experience.
