Description

I was looking to buy a teacup yorkie and came across the website jaytcuppuppies.com. I reached out via the number on the site about a puppy advertised for sale. Owner of the business (Micheal Oclean- and that is how he spelled his name) replied stating the dog, Donte, was available for the price listed on the website of $500. I asked to see the puppy via FaceTime and he sent me a video and pictures. I told Micheal that I had reservations - he replied that he was a Christian man, believed in karma, and that as a Christian he would never be involved in anything as a puppy scam. I slept on it and the next day said "no" to the purchase. Micheal said he understood and to follow God's leading, then proceeded to repeatedly call and text for the next few days. I broke down and bought the puppy who was to be shipped the next day. Micheal claimed Donte was at the shipping facility and that's when I started getting all these calls from Rapid Transport about additional costs such as a climate control crate, vet exam, then insurance. I called Micheal about these charges and he said he would check it out - that the company had never done this before. When he got back to me he said I did need to pay those fees but he would put in his own money to help. Donte was then supposedly boarded onto a Southwest Airline flight with a connection through Phoenix. Once "Donte" landed in Phoenix, I was told I needed to pay for an import/export license. I told Rapid Transit that the airline nor the airport required that license. He insisted and I told him to keep the dog because I didn't have the money. He told me I could Zelle it, then he suggested I hurry and run to CVS to buy Apple Pay gift cards to pay him. I told him to keep the dog and he said I would get in trouble for abandoning the animal. I still refused. He said if you hurry you'll have your new puppy in 2 hours. I told him that according to the flight information he sent me, the plane left an hour ago. Now Micheal begins to call and text asking how can he help? He wants Donte to be in a loving home. I told him I hope karma messes you up in ways you didn't think possible...don't call me or text me again...and I'm reporting you and "Rapid Transit" as a scam and for fraud. He called me the next day - I ignored the call. I have recently checked the website and ALL of the same puppies (same pictures and info) are still listed including Donte.
