The letter stated that "according to our records, the 2025 Annual Registration Fees for [my business] is due on November 30, 2025. If you have already paid your annual registration fees, please disregard this letter. To avoid penalties or administrative dissolution, you can pay your Annual Registration Fees online with our service at Busfile.org/VA2025. You can also scan the QR code above to complete the process. Enroll in our Sit it & Forget it automatic Annual Registration Fees and never miss the state deadline!" In fine print below, it states, "busfile.org can ensure all filings are completed correctly and on time, and offer various services to renew automatically annually should you prefer. busfile.org is wholly owned and operated by New Business Filing LLC 8170 Washington Village Drive, Dayton OH 45458. Service fee is $175 in addition to secretary of state fee of $50. We are not affiliated with the Virginia department of state. Terms of service available at newbusinessfiling.org/terms-of-service. Contact us at newbusinessfiling.org/contact-us." Filing your annual registration fee is a painless process via the Virginia State Corporation Commission website (https://cis.scc.virginia.gov/). This attempt to lure people into spending $175 on top of their registration fees is a scam!
