Description

I got a letter where the little envelope window had a scary "official business, penalty for private use $300" warning. The letter body itself had my name and address. It said I have a vehicle service contract that expired and needs to renewed, or I'll be liable for repairs. The letter did not mention my phone number, the vehicle the contract was for, or a business name or address. I knew it was a scam just from the lack of detail, but I called the number just to see what they'd say. The call immediately hung up without any answer, as if an automated machine dropped it.
