Description

I received an email from this site stating they were a boutique located in Boston going out of business and selling inventory at huge discounts. I googled this name and asked i it was a scam and google said no so I proceeded to order 2 high end leather purses and a pair of leather shoes. I waited and waited for weeks and finally got a tracking number to check and when I did, I discovered my items were coming from mainland China. That is when the thought crossed my mind that this was probably not going to end well and boy was I right. I sent Ella/Rose Boston an email asking them why my items were coming from mainland China when their store was located in Boston. I received an email from them telling me that although their main store is in Boston, my items were coming from their warehouse in China. When I finally received the items ( in a paper thin plastic bag bulging at the seams called Cargo Stuffing I later found out) they were stuffed in that thin plastic bag, crumpled, bent and LOOKING NOTHING LIKE THE ITEMS THEY PICTURED IN THERE STORE. NOTHING !!!!! They were not leather, the stitching was such poor quality that the bag would have pulled apart if I had only put a few items in them. One bag was so bent and twisted the zippers were bulging sideways and the base of the bag was so squashed that the plastic it was made from was permanently marked. Also, threads were sticking out all over it and you could see back stitching all over it. The shoes were plastic and so hard it was like putting on a wooden shoe. The items were trash. I contacted Ella/Rose and told them in no uncertain terms how I felt, I sent them pictures as proof and I asked for my money back. They have been bantering back and forth for a week now and had the nerve to offer me 15% of my total cost and I can keep the items. When I wrote them back again telling them this was unacceptable they offered me 25% and the same I can keep the items. That is when I decided to just contact my credit card company and get my money back. The card company told me that they WOULD get their money back. I realized finally that they had no intention of returning my money and would not send me an address where I could ship the junk back to them. I have all the correspondence from them via email along with the lies they told me. Guess they feel since they are in China they are untouchable. I can't understand how these scams continue as they do. This is the oldest scam in the book...The ole BAIT AND SWITCH.
