This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I was contacted by a company calling itself WaveNest LLC (sometimes using the name WaveNet Express or wavenest.com). They claimed to have hired me to receive packages at my home, “inspect” them, and re-ship them. When I questioned the legitimacy of this work and told them it looked like a scam, they sent me official-looking business documents, including a Certificate of Formation from the Mississippi Secretary of State, to convince me they were real. This appears to be a reshipping scam: They asked me to act as a package “inspector/forwarder.” They requested copies of my personal ID and information. The company is newly registered (August 2025), has no proven business activity, and has an “F” rating on the BBB. I did not ship any packages, but I am concerned about fraud and identity theft. Company Information Provided to Me: Business Name: WaveNest LLC Registered Agent: Northwest Registered Agent, Inc. – 270 Trace Colony Park Ste B, Ridgeland, MS 39157 Organizer: Nat Smith Email they used: [email protected] (and possibly others) NAICS Code: 492110 – Couriers and Express Delivery Services My Request: I want to report this company and prevent others
