I will contact you via text message with a job offer, which sounded legit because I had been applying for jobs that matched the description and the title for the position. The interview was conducted over Microsoft team and after the interview I received a job offer which I accepted. After accepting the job after and signing the document I received constructions to deposit a check that would be sent to me in my email in PDF format. At that time I realize it was probably a scam and was already on my way to the bank when I received the email with the check I showed it to the banker who then confirmed to me that it was a fraudulent check and this is a well-known scam. I informed the person I have been speaking to that I knew this was a scam and would not be depositing the check into my account and they ceased all communication immediately.
