Description
A fake profile, with a full LinkedIn reporting to real company and very similar domain name, claimed to be taking the company into the US marketspace and be the recruiting manager for the US region. Account was old, had followers, et cetera and seemed legit. The website was a scrape from the original with an added announcement and such. The address they gave pulls up a real medical building in some apps but if you watch closely it actually pulls up a house but the Suite 16 throws the apps it seems. The suite in question was confirmed to be another company with no affiliation. I've confirmed with the original companies Contact Us page this is a scam, and their LinkedIn page to remove the member. The site, if using a "WHOIS" lookup is registered with a bunch of proxy items and screens that don't let you see real info, which then is hosted on GoDaddy. I reported this to GoDaddy as well and have the original company seeking the domain. Job offer letter, welcome letter, handbook, et cetera all supplied and following a similar format with CEO's "signature" on them. It does look fairly legitimate but always confirm with verifiable sources. All of this information has been passed along to a contact at the FBI and we'll hopefully have this scammer (or org' if more than one) taken down soon.
