This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
Scam Type: Online purchase / brushing (unordered merchandise) Business name given on label: “Globe Books” Return address: “Ste 2, Box 150, 175 Monmouth Rd, West Long Branch, NJ 07764 (appears to be The UPS Store #7464 mailbox)” Date received: Aug 25–26, 2025 Item received: Sealed 3M mask; packaging says “Not for individual resale.” Money lost: $0 Details: Unordered package shipped to my full name and address via UPS. No invoice or contact details. Tracking # ** *** *** ** **** ****. I believe this is a brushing scam using a UPS Store mailbox to hide the sender’s identity. Posting here so others can find it if they receive similar packages.
