This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
This scammer tried to charge my bank debit card in the amount of $24.99 and I received bank notification about attempt and froze my card. Called an alleged scammer phone number and requested to cancel and destroy any information that had on my account. They assured they did. A week after that phone conversation they still proceed and charge my account for $24.99. I can only dispute the charge after it’s posted and my bank did not notify me this time about transaction. Very disappointed and terrible situation.
