Applied to a job posting for a dental office on Indeed. Was informed not selected but referred to Elric Seror. Received email from this person and asked to answer some basic questions about my job experience. I then received this email Good Morning, Congratulations and welcome aboard! I am excited to inform you that I have accepted you to work with me. I'm looking forward to working together, and I’m confident you’ll be a great asset to me. As part of your first task, I’ve arranged for a payment to be issued to you by my client. You will receive a check via FedEx today, with the following transaction details: Transaction Details: Amount: $2864.99 FedEx Tracking Number: 883604713960 Please deposit the check into your bank account upon receipt and notify me once you do and when the funds will be available.This payment covers a portion of my upcoming flight expenses, along with other business-related costs. Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could research evening business flight options from Toronto to Singapore for Aug 25, with a return to New York on Sep 1, as I will be attending a business conference. Here are the flight criteria: Departure Location: Toronto Pearson International Airport Destination: Changi Airport, Singapore Return Location: JFK Airport, New York Flight Class: Business Class Departure Time: Evening {Anytime after 3pm} Please ensure you check your email regularly to stay updated on any important communications. I emailed back and informed that I was never formally offered or accepted a position nor was I partaking in any part of a scam.
