Description
As a School of Music for Florida International University, we attend the FMEA conference, which is hosted annually. We received a call from this business, letting us know that they were contacting us on behalf of FMEA to book the hotel for the conference, and told us that the main hotel was already booked. Today, we found out from FMEA directly that these are scammers who pretended to book accommodations on behalf of FMEA. We attempted to call the business which advised that they did the booking for a hotel for something not specific to anything. I went on to explain that the reason we proceeded to do business with them is because they deviously advised that they were with FMEA, they proceeded to say that because we signed the agreement that has a fine print stating that they are a thrird party, they did not deceive us. The conference office staff immediately alerted us to the scam, therefore, we told them that they are scammers because they are deceiving conference goers. They refuse to cancel our booking and refund the money. We alerted that we would be calling our credit card company and the hotel to let them know of the scam.
