While booking a room in a hotel through Trivago I ended up with a confirmation voucher from Algotels. I had not seen their name at any point until the voucher. They apparently are a third party with access to inventory through Trivago. The Voucher I received had a cancellation deadline for full refund, but NO CONTACT INFO. When my plans changed the next day, I tried to contact them to cancel. The hotel I was booked in did not even have a good contact number for them. I had to contact my credit card company to get one. I spoke to someone with Algotels who confirmed my request to cancel and get a full refund FULLY TWO DAYS BEFORE THE DEADLINE. I even got an email from her confirming my request. One week later I have not received a credit back. A google search indicates they have a history of complaints for this conduct. The complaints indicate that they simply do not refund money once they have it. My experience is consistent with that. I have the documentation to confirm this transaction and the timing.
