I opened my e-mails today and received a email from [email protected] regarding an invoice for 772.48. It stated if unauthorized should call 805 500-6357. I called as I do not have a paypal accountand wanted to report this fraud. The First call I made said Paypal and to press 2 to talk to vendor. I did and got a foreign man who I could not understand, but he started asking for my email address, etc. and I hung up. I called back thinking i could get to a paypal person, but it went directly to the same person,foreigner, who started asking for personal information stating I had been hacked, and a fake account had been set up so in order to get straight he wanted more personal information. I never gave him a chance to ask for money as I told him I was reporting this transaction and phone number to the FCC. I then hung up. I researched the phone number and saw it is a PayPal scam going on.
