Man in a white truck drove into my dad's paved yard on July 22nd in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario, and told him he would give him a good deal to seal his already paved driveway. He then proceeded to take out a hose from his truck (without my dad's consent) and started spraying right in the middle of the driveway. He had already started spraying so my dad let him do more. Once he was halfway done, he told my dad he needed to pay him $12K to finish the job. My dad ended up paying him $11K cash because that's all the money he had on him. The job was terrible quality and 5 times the price of what an average coating would normally cost. He was pushy, and even had his friends in 2 other trucks meet him at the end of the driveway. So my dad felt threatened which is why he ended up paying. Horrible way for someone to take a 75 year old man's money for a crappy job. He told him there as a 3 year warranty. My dad asked for it at the end, and the guy gave him an invoice (NOT a warranty paper at all). I looked up their website, and the address is fake - there is no Triple A Paving at that address. The phone number is inactive. So this is not a legitimate business. They used to be under the name On Top Paving and Triple T Paving (I believe, from my research). The invoice provided to my dad had the email address [email protected] and number 437-849-4026 and the name on the bottom is Xiaotian Gao. GST/HST # *********
