Scammer used a gmail id to join a neighborhood group. They then posted about duct cleaning service they were getting and that the vendor was offering a discount if more people signed up. There was no company mentioned. An individual showed up on the day of the appointment. It is unclear whether their "machine" actually cleaned the vents for the basic service. They were more interested in scaring people by saying the house had mold and mildew and that it needed deep cleaning for $3,000. When asked for the quote they gave a hand scribbled note. The person texting to set up the appointment claimed to be Tyler - phone number was 786-927-4854. The person who came to clean may have been Liam Yehuda. He had a legit Zelle account on phone number 984-382-1483. The same number 786-927-4854 was listed on a LA neighborhood website with the same message about duct cleaning. A search for Liam Yehuda listed ************************************************************************************* It mentions Mr. Hero and says they clean ducts. The background check is passed by Liam on 7/22/25. Notice there are 29 reviews with 5 stars from every single one! Bunch of them follow a similar pattern. Clearly not real.
