I received a text about a potential job at a plumbing company here in NJ. I was told to send my resume to the email i provided in the form. I did so, and received an email back asking for personal information and which bank i used. I provided this information. The email also stated that it was for a "real estate agent, industrial building USA." None of it made sense, and it certainly wasnt for a plumbing and heating companhly. The number i received texts from is linked to a landscaping company in CA. I received a third email (despite not replying to the 2nd), which stated i would receive a check for $4,999. I was to deduct $770 from the $4,999 for my first week of "work" (despite doing nothing at all yet), and said i would be sending the remainder somewhere else. He provided me with a tracking number for fedex, which DID work and said a package was coming to me in Toms River NJ. The package never came - im assuming they realized i knew it was a scam and stopped responding. Which i did. I never received the fedex "check" as the delivery was stopped. This absolutely disgusts me as i have been unemployed for months, and yes, made my resume on indeed public. There are obviously people trying to prey on desperate unemployed people.
