This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
After gaining access to my computer, installed something to stop it from working then said they could put a software that cost $500 to solve my problem. I then contacted the geek squad. They came over and showed me what they had done to scam me.
