Description

Matt showed and was only supposed to replace the broken drum on our garage. He said he had close the garage door so he can work. During this time he took off the automatic door cable and dropped our garage door which caused it buckle the bottoms two panels. When he opened our garage door he had removed all the moving parts and replace them without our consent. I asked why he did this and he provided to give us a song and dance and I confronted him about the damage to my garage door he denied until I showed him my security video. He then accepted fault and said he would give a $500 credit to repair it. Then he hit us with the final bill and tried to charge us $1700.00 I told him I am refusing to pay that because there was nothing wrong with my garage parts except the broken drum. Also, when he tried closing our garage door it would not automatically close and said he fixed it and we can manually open and close it! He tried arguing with us and finally after his so called deductions he lowered the cost to $600.00 I also disputed this charge and that’s when he said if I’m not paying he’s going to remove the parts from the garage and then proceeded to take the old parts of my garage. My husband told him to leave them and he became upset and said we recycle these parts and we told him to leave them and he did. I would not allow him back in the garage after he kept saying he wanted to check if he had left any of his tools in our garage and I refused to allow him back into the garage. He would not leave and demanded we pay him in cash. I told him my garage door is not working there I am not paying him. He continued to make a scene and raise his voice and told us to borrow money to pay him cash. My husband just wanted him gone so agreed to pay him $340 so he would leave. He still continued to argue for an additional $100.00 which we told him would pay him one more $1.00 until he repairs my garage! He finally left two hour later. The next day I called the number from Google search and was told the owner call us Monday morning. He never did! After several calls to that number the woman answering the phone became rude and complained that I was calling too and that William the owner would call me. He never did. I called again this morning and apparently William tried calling me but I missed his call because the number he called me from was unknown so it went straight to voicemail. He did not leave a message.
