Description
I received the following email below about a job opportunity: Hi, I hope you are doing well as I write this. Currently, one of our clients is looking for a Senior Vice President of Business Development to join their team in a recently acquired company, and after looking at your profile, I believe your background would be a perfect fit. Please respond to this email with your resume if you are interested. I would love to speak with you further about this opportunity and provide you with more information about the company after the initial client process. Looking forward to your response! Best regards, Amanda Lawson Sr. Recruiting Specialist I sent this person my résumé but they said it wasn't ATS compliant and supplied a link to convert the document to make a compliant. The cost was $17. My family and I were out of the country on vacation and I thought it seems a little bit fishy, but I was in a hurry at the time and just wanted to move the process forward. Since then, nothing has happened, and the person says the position is on hold, but that they will keep me posted. I've sent informed them that I know that I was scammed and then I would follow up with my financial institution the Better Business Bureau and law enforcement.
