Originally it came to my school email so I thought it was legit until I saw the email they had us reaching out to, then the email response gave way to the fact it was a scam. “ I hope this message finds you well . My name is Mike Curtis, a busy business owner of Lakewood CHARITY FOUNDATION, and I am writing to express my keen interest in you being my personal assistant. I am glad to congratulate you as your position has been confirmed. Sorry we can't meet before you get started with work as I am presently away on a business trip in Australia running some network programs, I will be back to the States by the 28th of next month. But rest assured that you can officially get started. As soon as I have arrived, we can discuss more issues. Please remember this is an independent contractor job. Work time is up to 6 hours a week, and hours can be split throughout the week. You'd have to choose what hours work best for you. The hours are flexible, so it can work around your schedule. First Task: I make donations to 3 different orphanages every month, and in your first task, you will purchase some toys and other gift items for the orphanage homes. I will email you the list of all items to be purchased at the store and all the necessary information on how to get them mailed out to them. Gas money will be provided for your car and if you don't have a car, funds will be provided for Uber around.
