VRR Parking, or a towing company partnered with them, came to the apartment complex I live at and illegaly put up signs instructing visitors to register their car for guest parking without the consent of the apartment complex. These signs were up for a week and me, my family, my guests, and I'm sure many other residents in my community registered their vehicles using the QR code posted on the signs out of fear of being towed. Information given includes names and vehicle information. After reaching out to my apartment complex, they informed us that the signs were put up without their consent, and that an overzelous towing company had asked the complex to instigate a guest parking scheme; after all, the signs were already up! My apartment complex has since taken the signs down and reaffirmed their current parking policy, and said to be concerned if we had registered our cars with that company. Very scummy!
