This scam targets individuals on social media by posting job offers in groups. The individuals claim they represent Edmunds.com, and that the "job" entails completing "daily product uploads," for which the employee will be compensated. The initial fee collected is $20, but individuals are soon advised that they need to purchase additional credits to be eligible to complete more tasks, at a cost of $200. These individuals do not represent Edmunds.com and no such job exists at Edmunds.com. All open positions are posted on the Edmunds.com website, and can be accessed on the "Careers" page. Edmunds employees will never communicate with you from any email domain apart from Edmunds.com, and the only legitimate website for this company is Edmunds.com.
