Description
CardUP was created as a platform to help nonprofits fundraise through gifts and ecard dedications for special events. Shortly after we signed up, the platform ceased to exist and all emails to the founders Noah Schultz, [email protected], and Morgan Lazarus, [email protected], bounced. At which point we sent a notification of our intent to cancel our payments for this service as it was no longer being offered. We were repeatedly billed over the past five years, despite multiple documented attempts to cancel the account. The company continued to charge us without providing access to their platform or responding to our requests for termination. Each time we disputed the charges with our credit card company, they were temporarily reversed, only to reappear later. This appears to be a pattern of unauthorized recurring billing, where the company ignores cancellation requests and quietly resumes charges, making it difficult to fully stop the payments. Others should be cautious and monitor their billing statements closely if they have ever interacted with this service.
