Description

I was cold called by a 505-405-7089 number. Said possible scam on caller ID. I've been looking for a job. She said she found my info on indeed. She was definitely an older Hispanic woman reading a script. She said that the company that she works for helps people from foreign countries shop for us goods. That I would be having packages delivered to my home I would be inspecting and then sending out to foreign countries and sometimes I would pick up VIP packages at a major retailer. She claimed I would make $4,500 a month and I would take 30 days to get my first paycheck and then it would be by weekly and that it would be $3,500 a month after taxes. She told me she had initially sent out a company flyer which I never found any such detail in my email. I asked her to confirm my email address which she did and then she said she was going to send a employment contract and that I was hired because I had access to a printer and I could pick up packages. That's the gist of the scam she went in more detail. She does sound like a very trustworthy person I have been scam like this before so I knew not to give her any of my information nor did I download the employment contract that she sent to me in the email. She was very pushy about me signing the contract right now and getting started and I told her that I would have to do some research about her company and I would have to look into the better Business bureau to see if she was legitimate. She just kept reinforcing that all I needed to know was in that employment contract form I needed to download and that she would be hearing from me but spots were limited to act fast. I'm so tired of this crap. It's very sad. Protect yourself. No one hires people from a cold call.
