Description
I received a notice through the mail saying "time sensitive" warranty coverage for my car was being dropped or compromised and I would be financially liable for any and all repairs. The notice appeared to have come from Hyundai, but it was actually from some group called Alerus. I contacted the comp[any and gave them an "Approval Number." The phone rep then proceeded to charge me 160.00 for a service contract or warranty on a brand new car that I come to find out from the dealership that sold me the car that my car was already was covered. Alerus scammed me out 160.00. They did not inform me they were with Alerus and not associated with Hyundai and attempted to charge me over $4,000 for some bogus service contract that I did not need nor would have covered any repair claim I would file. This company needs to be investigated. They impersonate a car manufacturer and do not disclose their true identity.
