I got a call from someone claiming to be a process server saying he had legal documents for me and to call the 877 number for a&a law firm to find out what they were. Only When I called that number did they say they were Abbott and associates and said that I owed $4, 132.22 to US Bank and that there were charges pending, but If I paid them $1,112.63 I would settle out of court and they would not go forward with the charges. They told me that I had to pay to settle out of court that same day that I got the call because that was the only day that the offer was valid. I haven't had an account at US Bank for 20 years and have had no correspondence from US Bank in that time. They said that the collection has been going around from collection agency to collection agency and that they sent a notice out ( to an address that I haven't had since 2016) 45 days ago. Yet they had my current address and phone number on file. The address they were at is 13101 Preston road, suite 110- 754 Dallas, Texas 75240 there is no record of an Abbott and associates in Dallas, Texas and nothing comes up for Abbott and associates at this address. I was scared so I paid them. They sent me a bunch of documents in Dropbox to sign that looked really legit. Then they sent me a letter with copies of the documents. My bank was able to get me my money back but I'm still pretty sure this is a scam.
