Medicare was called immediately about the scam, but Medicare proceeded to process the claim by Star Medical Equipment, 4 days later, giving them over $4,300 on her account. It was a crazy amount of equipment: 2 knee braces, hip brace and 2 compression sleeves. When I looked up address, the company also goes by the name of AVA Medical Supply/DME Supplier. Google reviews from over 31 people, said they had received medical equipment that was not ordered where claims had been sent to Medicare. The following month, she received 2 wrist braces from Mass Medical Suppy in Dallas, Tx.
