On 7/6, I applied for employment at City of Moundsview for an Office Assistant position (15h/wk) through the governmentjobs.com website. I received an email on 7/21 from the city of Shoreview for the exact same position. I contacted the employer letting them know they were not the employer on the job application that I had submitted. I contacted the governmentjobs.com website support team and they denied having any involvement with the job applications on the website. When I brought this up to the employer a 2nd time, the employer (City of Shoreview) ignored my request. Whether the city of Shoreview or the website is responsible for this bait-and-switch job application, both parties are denying responsibility. Either the city or the website MUST be held responsible for this employment scam.
