I called National Debt Relief to see if I qualified for loan consolidation, and was passed to another company who passed me to Progressive Debt Relief. They said they could help me, and were very compassionate, so I srambled to give them all my personal information including my mom's maiden name, SSN, address, and bank account info so they could take money to "pay my loan off" after negotiating the amount down to a reasonable payment I could afford. I signed the agreement assuming they were BBB accredited, but afterwards, I read the fine print and Googled PDR and saw that many people had reported the company to the BBB because they were scammed out of money and didn't receive the help PDR claimed to do.
