Description
For weeks now I have been relentlessly called (all sent to voicemail) about a loan that I have not requested. The voicemails never use my name or any specific information about the company, loan amount, or what it’s for, just that they can get everything signed off when I call back and encouraging me to move quickly. Only once was a full company name actually used, in repeated voicemails of that message the company name was cut off, as if the person started talking before the recording kicked in. The callback numbers so far have been repeated for 2-3 voicemails, and then switched out for a new callback number with a slightly different message and voice. The voices all sounded like it was probably an AI being told to not sound like AI in the form of various women’s voices. The callback numbers I’ve been left messages to return calls to, in order, are: (866) 878-1552 (3 times); (844) 487-2090 (3 times); (855) 768-4424 (3 times); (844) 487-3324 (2 times). The first calls (x1552) were about a “time sensitive personal matter” and needing to “verify some details” before approval. The second round (x2090) was a woman saying my funding was so close to being approved, and to press 2 to be connected with her. The third round (x4424) said they were “trying to connect with me” and also said to press 2 to speak with them or “someone from underwriting directly” in reference to an unspecified claim I filed. This one was longer than the others and mentioned that the approval is set to expire in the next few days, but I’m welcome to reapply. The last round at present (x3324) claims to be the person assigned to my file, also seeking to verify some things, including “an income related question” and address verification, which they say I can do through their loan portal. This call also encourages to give them a call even if you don’t want a loan and “already handled your funding” just to let them know. It also says you can press 9 to opt out of future calls. The numbers actually calling me are different every time, always from the US. The numbers have been listed as either unknown, United States, or one of the following: Fairview, NC, Fair Lawn, NJ, Polston, MT, Haines City, FL, and Phoenix, AZ. I block the numbers every time, but they just come back with a new one.
